Headed by Ashutosh Mohan Rastogi, the Firm specializes in tax advisory, litigations, and restructuring matters. The Firm has a focus on direct tax issues, particularly cross-border investment and transaction structuring, transfer pricing, and compliance with international tax treaties.

The Firm works closely with clients in the IT and hospitality sectors. Over the past few years, the Firm’s engagement with these sectors has generated several opportunities to work on transactions focused on transfer pricing and cross-border taxation. The firm’s close engagement with some of the fast-growing IT and hospitality groups has resulted in the tax team being in the thick of and advising on several matters relating to international tax and transfer pricing matters.

The Firm has been particularly active in the IT Space providing Legal, Tax, and Transfer Pricing assistance to a large number of software/ IT services companies among others.

The Firm has also been active in the hospitality sector providing legal, Tax, and Transfer Pricing assistance to a large number of hospitality companies including India’s largest hotel chain, renowned fine dine restaurants, etc.

Further, as the Indian economy is seeing an accelerated number of start-ups and keen interest from investors across a spectrum of sectors, the Firm has witnessed an increased volume of work in advising both investors/ founders on Angel Tax issues. The landmark Delhi High Court Win in the case of Cinestaan Entertainment has established the Firm’s credentials for dealing with complex valuation issues which are driving a lot of valuation-related work to the Firm. The investors/ investee companies are increasingly relying on the Firm’s taxation/ legal team to safeguard their interests.
